Donald Trump yesterday (WED) revealed that his Aberdeenshire golf course could host the Scottish Open on a permanent basis.
The property developer spoke out as it emerged that the tournament, which is sponsored by Aberdeen Asset Management, will be held at Menie Estate in 2017, 2019 and 2020.
He was on a visit to the links resort to officially open his new granite clubhouse at the 18-hole championship course.
The businessman said he had taken the chief executive of Aberdeen Asset Management, Martin Gilbert, on a tour of the site last year.
